A Cold January Day
You’re still far, far away
in this cold January day
There’s a mesmerizing light
My grandmother was right
It must be what sailors see
While out in the silent sea
Fighting with their demons
for all the same old reasons
Laughing and dying at the local bar
before looking at the brightest star
sitting motionless high in the sky
Telling them you and I are just a lie
You’re still far, far away
in this cold January day
I wish you could hold me tight
Under this mighty star light
Making love to me once again
To hide all my fears and pain
