Atwells
I was looking at the dark clouds today
covering the sun, then moving away
Thinking about the things I have said
The things I have done
What is left and what is gone
I was staring side to side, up and down
not waiting for the sun to come around
Feeling the pain and the misery abound
With the lost and the lonely of our town
Soundless, like unused church bells
Sharp, like the early kitchens smells
I was watching who buys and who sells
False hope on the sidewalks of Atwells
very nice
