Frustration
It's one of those days
When Nature unleashes
its unstoppable force
And my heart is galloping
Like a wild horse
I'm standing at the top of a hill
Not for kicks, not for a thrill
Too many hours to think
My eyes won't even blink
Too much time to kill
Not knowing how I will
I don't have the strength
I don't have water left
To draw from the well
all I hear is the sound
of a nearing funeral bell
Interspersed among
alarms, ambulances
And loud Fire trucks
Police cruisers and
unmarked cars
Flashing lights
Chasing thugs
A world left to the shrewd
While the rest of us continue
to be controlled and screwed
By the rich and the chosen few
When Nature unleashes
its unstoppable force
And my heart is galloping
Like a wild horse
I'm standing at the top of a hill
Not for kicks, not for a thrill
Too many hours to think
My eyes won't even blink
Too much time to kill
Not knowing how I will
I don't have the strength
I don't have water left
To draw from the well
all I hear is the sound
of a nearing funeral bell
Interspersed among
alarms, ambulances
And loud Fire trucks
Police cruisers and
unmarked cars
Flashing lights
Chasing thugs
A world left to the shrewd
While the rest of us continue
to be controlled and screwed
By the rich and the chosen few
