In My Truck

I am sitting here waiting 
in my truck
Not sure if I should really 
give a fuck
It is very cold out 
Wondering what this feeling 
is about
At the traffic light
A homeless vet continues 
his never ending fight
While I'm here in my 25000 dollar truck
Someone with missing legs 
Comes out of the mini mart
Neither brave nor too smart
Knocking on a car window begs:
"please, can you spare a buck
I ran out of luck"
I wave at another cruiser
Barreling down the ave
Chasing after yet another car jack
And I am thinking at all the few things
I miss and the too many I've got
