Morning Wonderlust
God is my witness
I have done it all
for a bit of love and
a lot of loneliness
I have kneeled and beggged
And done a lot of other things
For a bit of kindness and
A lot of forgiveness
Today was no different
We both woke up
Only 2 miles apart
We knew what was up
From the very start
The things we had said
At first got me hesitant
And a little mad
But from the moment
I opened the door
You and I knew what
Was in store
You ravaged my body
Taking hold of my soul
You smelled so good
Your arms so strong
American made and fully tattooed
We were in that magical mood
You held me nice and tight
kissing me so damn right
No words were needed
My legs weakened
Battle tested and proven
You led the way
With no need for directions
Hardened and steadfast
You made me your breakfast
It was my turn to look up
my eyes wide open
Even if yours were
blissfully shut
When all was said and done
You still kissed me all the way
back to your truck
There was no time for more
Breathless, but still smiling
I leaned my back against
the now closed door
