Of Real Monsters
How can it be
That monsters
Still roam
And prey on the
Young and the weak?
How can it be
That they rob and
Destroy what is innocent
And priceless?
How can it be
they were given a gift
To hone and then use it
So cruelly, so viciously
to lure their victims in?
How can it be
That monsters hide
In plain sight
And we can only see
Them when they
Have destroyed
The life of another
Human being?
How can it be
That gods have put them
Here among us and
Allow them to be?
