Spellbinder
When the day gives way
To the night
I sit often thinking about
The darkness and the light
I seek what hides in between
Maybe demons, maybe witches
With their formidable powers
and their proverbial might
I sit there trying to understand
their ancient and arcane ways
Listening to their music play
I let myself go astray
unable to resist their chanting
And deeply alluring dancing
I wish I could fly away
Out of this strange
spellbinding state
Before it's too late
To the night
I sit often thinking about
The darkness and the light
I seek what hides in between
Maybe demons, maybe witches
With their formidable powers
and their proverbial might
I sit there trying to understand
their ancient and arcane ways
Listening to their music play
I let myself go astray
unable to resist their chanting
And deeply alluring dancing
I wish I could fly away
Out of this strange
spellbinding state
Before it's too late
