The Kelp
Immersed in my thoughts
I picture the sea
With no wind
with no moving creatures
That I can see
Flat like a marble table top
Like an infinite pool
With a vanishing edge
Where only the Sun
Is allowed to fall
There I stand watching
a wide brown spot
Amidst the big blue
And its light to dark hues
Searching for motion
There are no sails
No swells
No sirens calls
No mariners
With one more
tall story to tell
Below it, in the kelp
Some say that's where
It lives ready to help
Those who believe
