WELCOME

The Kwai River

When I was in high school
I was always acting like a fool
Rock 'n' Roll was all I got
I could never pay attention
To what I was taught
A bit of hash and weed
No one knew what was adhd
Video games and cigarettes
Live fast with no regrets
A card game and I was all in
Pure magic to be seen
When I was in the armed forces
I was serving in a platoon
of soon to be walking corpses
I left home and all my friends
Against all odds and trends
I fell in love in a hurry
It's been so long
My memory is a bit blurry
I must be still very hungry
I only had deviled eggs
And a slice of ham
It feels like I'm trapped
In a cage full of starving
rats in Vietnam
Let me load one more
Cause I'll never say die
Even if the Mekong was
really the Kwai
