The Octopus
How I miss
The peace and the quiet
All that moves silently
In the vast seas
Suspended
Navigating
Flapping fins
Hiding in crevices
And finding homes
In abandoned shells
Oh, how I miss
Telling tales
Of mystery, traveling
Using the currents
Of the mighty sea
Diving and swimming
Deep in the dark blue abyss
Oh, how I miss
quietly trying
To make order of my thoughts
not to bother anyone
Dreaming of those days
Long gone
Hoping for one more
Kiss and tight hugs
From my daughter
And my son
From all those I love
I now hide here away
Alone in my burrow
Shuffling through memories
Fidgeting with a tiny hope
For a better tomorrow
Sometimes smiling
Then suddenly crying
Trying to make the most
With the increasing least
But always pushing away
What life calls
inevitable sorrow
