They say it was the town raccoon
Who stole the big Pawtucky moon
Everyone has been searching for years,
months and days without a clue
up and down the ten mile river trail
and in all the stores on central avenue
No one truly knows that
on one Saturday afternoon
it was you who stole the
Beautiful Pawtucky moon
And gave it to me later on
in my candle lit bedroom
So now I'm gonna tell all
the real truth
it is so much brighter here
With my big beautiful
Pawtucky moon
So please forgive me if
I ain't returning it
