This I Saw
Clearly a mistake
Everyone made him
To be a basket case
Putting him down
They laughed at him
Like he was a clown
Little did they know
He was neither stupid
Nor slow
He was determined
To prove them wrong
Showing everyone
What it takes to be strong
Some stopped being
Friends with him
Because he was a hindrance
Since he shared he was Trans
They pointed fingers
And called him out
He stood stout
Steadfast showing
Not a bit of guilt
On his young face
And yet most
Still questioned his gender
Creed and race
His hair was tinted
blue, pink and white
Because he believed
He had nothing to hide
He just wanted to show
His colors with pride
Sometimes it's better
To hold off and think
Before judging a man
before posting a comment
Just because we can
Stop, think and then act
Question the source
Dissect, reasses
Leave opinions and
get the fact
What we see most often
Is not what it is
We must accept or dismiss
The demons we hide
History may repeat
But Science allows us
to evolve
To change our minds
And let us choose
Between hate and love
And that's this guy I saw
