WELCOME

A Good Day is Worth Remembering

Yesterday I went grocery shopping at the local supermarket. After my usual aisles gazing and picking, I finally placed all the goodies that overfilled my cart on the advancing belt for checkout. The person in front of me was almost done forcing me to leave a few items on the non-scrolling end of the belt and by the time I was ready to pay I suddenly heard a voice coming from behind me saying "Hey Miss you forgot those items there"... pointing at the items I had initially placed on the edge of the counter. It took me a second or two to realize what she had said, and that it was directed to me. I felt a jolt of happiness, a joy rapidly reaching every part of my body and mind forcing a gigantic interior smile. The other amazing thing was that I was wearing gender-neutral clothing, no makeup or wigs.

Of course, I realize that maybe it was totally accidental on her part, maybe a default response to her customers being mostly females, and maybe she was not even looking at me.
Either way, it made my day.

The day got even better with my ex-boyfriend showing up to carry on with a promise he had made to me a while back. Life is short, I do not hold grudges or resentments for too long. If you are a nice person and it did not work out for whatever the reason, hey, I am still going to value our friendship.
Of course, I am a sucker for companionship and attention so let's just say ( and keep it PG-13 ) it was a very enjoyable rest of the evening.

Overall it was an amazing day to be grateful for.
