Conversations: Online Realities - A New Level of Entitlement
Today checking my inbox on a notorious hookup website I found a gem of a reply from a 58-year-old man ( usually you need to add at least 5 years to that ).
A chaser, (admirer, sex fiend, insert whichever fits best) who fed up with my non-committing answers to his admirably persistent requests to hook up with me had the time of his life insulting me venomously. See image below:
While I can't stop him from using such endearing words and or change his lovely opinions of me, unfortunately, I do not possess any wizened abilities despite being a "fat fag hag", I can, however, thank him for making me think about how sad we must have become to feel any entitlement or expectations when searching for intimacy or anything of interactive/social nature with other human beings ( are we still humans?). In my reply to him, see the above snapshot, I was tamed only because I was in an extraordinary calm state after a fairly broken night's sleep. His written harsh and violently offensive reaction is something that I have experienced before with certain men. Fortunately, this one happened through an email, and will not be followed by the physical violence I have been a victim of with some other frustrated men incapable to release their sexual needs.
I am glad that I have become more scrupulous in selecting dates, taking a bit of time usually brings out the true nature of people.
Gaby, I’m so sorry you had to deal with this. Nobody should have to endure this or any physical violence either. I will never understand why people feel they have the right or entitlement. Most of all he is absolutely wrong, you are nothing but a beautiful woman.
I’m sorry this happened to you. None of what he said about you is true and I hope your next encounter is a better one. But please don’t tone police yourself, Guys like him deserve to hear some appropriate words and a few inappropriate ones too for good measure.
XoXo
Nadine ❤️
