It Makes A Difference
As hard as it is to confide and tell even your best friend what you truly feel and are experiencing in your life, there is an immense reward when you find out that they are listening. It can be hard for them to fully understand, as they have known you one way, physically, visually. Men typically tend to hide their emotions, especially the more introvert and tougher, masculine ones.
It makes a difference when we share something so private that we can then see has reached their heart.
As cliche' as it may be, I look for those with a great heart to call my best friends. Those are the ones whom I need in my life and admire so much. Discovering that they possess what drew me to them in the first place, their inner true beauty, is uplifting and reassuring. It helps me believe that there are good people out there and the road I am on won't be so lonely. If only I was able to communicate more fluently, I am sure it would also help with the less open-minded friends I have. I do not want to lose the people I love because even if they can't understand me, I still love them for who they are.
Those are the rare moments I. cherish. There are very few things in this life more valuable than someone allowing themselves become vulnerable to you out of trust
